Legal Associates
Legal Associates was founded by Raj and Ashima Singh in September 2014. Since both Raj and Ashima were from a migrant background they identified a need for specialised legal services and legal knowledge amongst the migrant communities.
They realised that there was a lack of awareness around legal responsibilities, obligations and rights which had created a gap between migrant communities and their ability to smoothly transition into settling in New Zealand and achieving their dreams.
Since then, Legal Associates has identified itself as a firm which truly understands the concerns of many migrants along with the local community members and aims to bridge that gap. The team here holds a zeal for finding solutions and are able to transcend cultural and language barriers to provide quality legal advice to its clients.
Legal Associates is also proud to have the first INDIAN BORN New Zealand Lawyer, Ashima Singh (Co- founder and Partner at Legal Associates) to become Notary Public. Ashima Singh was admitted to Notaries Society of New Zealand in 2022.
One of the firm’s noteworthy successes was when it reached a milestone of a 1000 clients in less than 1.5 years of establishment and the most recent achievement of servicing 10,000 plus clients. The firm is well and truly on its way to achieving its vision – which is to become the leading law firm in South Auckland.
